"What's Happening?"
What a great day at Balingup
Small Farm Field Day on Saturday 24th April. The weather was
perfect for such an event and the organisers claim 13000 people
attended.
We had many enquiries from genuinely interested people.
Lots of people asked what Dorpers taste like and where to buy the
meat.
A picture of our display and another of the signs we use to help inform people.
Collin has recently successfully
completed his third "Senior Dorper Classing" course
held at Kaya Dorpers at Narrogin.
The course was run by Gideon Vivier; President of the South
African Dorper Society.
We have had our ewes classed by
offical South African Inspectors over the last consectutive
years; Ron Von de Muerve in 2009 and Gideon Vivier 2010.
This means that the sheep that we sell have been properly classed
and buyers can be confident that stud sheep are stud sheep and
1st. selection commercials are just that etc. in accordance with
the Breed Standards.

The Judge, Bruce Buswell of Matilda Downs White Suffolk Stud,
said "he has an extraordinary hindquarter. The muscling is
amazing, it's almost like he has a B muscle; he has muscle and
then an extension of it again".
"He has exceptional muscling, quite extraordinary," he
said.

Susan and Collin were married on Saturday 6th. April, 2002. See "Wedding Photos" for some pictures.
